Jeffrey LaDow

Mouth Artist | Usa

Born on 2 February 1957 in Milwaukee, Jeffrey Allen LaDow worked as a car merchant after finishing school. In 1975, he suffered a diving accident which left him a quadriplegic. He knew about his talent as a painter before his accident. For this reason, it was only natural for him to take up oil painting. As a consequence, he took courses with famous art teachers. In 1986, he was granted a stipend by the association. In 1991, he took lessons at the Milwaukee Art Museum. In these courses, he learnt the techniques of the old masters. In 1992, he became an Associated Member of the AMFPA. Jeffrey Allen LaDow is influenced by naïve art but always paints with independent ideas and forms.

The painter’s works are created with great concentration even for the smallest detail. His works were presented to the public at various solo and group exhibitions. Furthermore, he organizes events for school children and college students. It was a great honour for him when he was commissioned to make a painting for the West Virginia State Capitals Museum. The painting is in the museum to this very day. Besides painting Jeffrey Allen LaDow enjoys his hobbies, such as tandem parachuting, photography and car sports.
