Neminath. H. Phalke

Mouth Artist | India

Born on the 2nd of July 1964, Neminath Phalke lived in Varkhadi, Aurangabad, along with his family. An accident while serving at the Indian Air force paralyzed him from the neck down. Even though he was unable to use his limbs and was confined to a wheelchair, Neminath never gave up on life. He taught himself mouth painting in 1988 and had left his mark in the field. He painted landscapes, flowers and animals of his native land, India.

His works got exhibited several times and he’d been a member of the MFPA from 1992. Neminath had a message for everyone struggling with life: “If I could make a successful living despite being physically challenged, so can you. Never lose heart. Just keep trying.” The great soul passed away in September 2015.
