Moses Kai Hamilton aka Mo is an extremely talented, passionate and inspiring artist who was born in Kauai’s spectacular north shore on 5 Jan 1976. He began sketching at a young age and since that point art played a pivotal role in his life. Self-taught, he rediscovered his passion for art and started painting by mouth after a car accident in 2002, which left him paralyzed.
He paints with an expressive and loose style that carries a touch of impressionism, using bold colours to create strong and powerful pieces of art inspired by his love of life, music, Hawaii and its ethnic diversity. He became a member of VDMFK in 2016 as a Scholarship Holder. Moses hopes to inspire others who are facing adversity to lead productive and fulfilling lives despite their hardship.
