William Wallis Mooney, born on 11 February 1942 in Melbourne, had a promising athletic career before a diving accident at sixteen left him paralyzed from the shoulders down. Despite this life-altering event, William discovered a passion for painting in 1960. Specializing in Australian landscapes and seascapes, his work often captures the unique beauty of steppe, mountains, and river valleys. With oils and watercolors as his medium, William’s paintings convey both the rugged and dreamlike essence of Australia. Since becoming a full member of AMFPA in 1963, his artwork has been exhibited and sold worldwide.
