Itzhak Adir was an Air Force engineer. At the age of 24 he was severely injured. He has been confined to the wheelchair ever since. As a mouth painter he created a new life for himself and mastered his difficult fate through painting. Still lives and landscapes characterise Adir’s works. His teachers at the art academy in Israel taught him the painting culture and tradition of this genre. He lightens these compositions through his highly developed sense
of colour.
