Ruth Christensen was born on 12 February 1929 in Lynge, Denmark. After losing both arms at the age of eleven, she pursued art, studying at the arts and crafts school in Copenhagen and working as a graphic artist. She developed a unique style, known for her Nordic Christmas motifs and floral art. Ruth began mouth painting with expressive pieces, focusing on still lifes, landscapes, and water reflections. She has participated in many exhibitions and has been a member of MFPA since 1982, also serving on its board since 1992.
