Jagwinder Singh

In the heartlands of Punjab, Jagwinder Singh's inspiring journey began on April 3, 1991, without the use of both arms. The struggle to secure admission to a school marked the initial chapter for him and his family. Instead of succumbing to questions about his limitations, Jagwinder turned them into motivation, using his feet for writing and various tasks.

Fueled by a childhood passion for drawing, influenced by his needleworker father, Jagwinder found his creative spark while observing embroidery. After completing school, he pursued a two-year diploma in art and craft. Winning numerous prizes in district and state-level art competitions, he transitioned from teaching to a government role in the soil and water conservation department in Patiala.

Jagwinder's artistic prowess, centered on watercolor and pencil sketching, earned him a spot in a Singapore art exhibition, where he sold seven of his paintings. Beyond his artistic endeavors, he's a budding National Para Cyclist. In 2020, Jagwinder joined the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (MFPA), adding another vibrant chapter to his remarkable tale of resilience and creativity.
