José Gerardo Uribe Aguayo was born on 16 March 1963 in Dolores Hidalgo without arms and with a deformity of the legs. He taught himself to paint with his foot at the age of six. He acquired the basics of natural drawing from his art classes in school. At the focus of his training were the techniques of painting in oil, staining and tempera painting.

ABOUT
José received a scholarship from the association in 1990. Preferred subjects of José are the landscapes of his homeland, flowers and still life compositions, which he paints in oil and watercolour. In 1995, he became a Full Member of the VDMFK. In the meantime, he has held group and well as mono exhibitions and received numerous awards and honours.
